Mother's Day Poem

🌹💓Happy Mother’s Day!💓🌹

When you thought I wasn't looking
I saw you make my favorite dinner
And I knew little things from mum are special

When you thought I wasn't looking
I saw you wash my dirty soccer boots
And I knew you cared about me.

When you thought I wasn't looking
I heard you say that you would give the last cupcake to me
And I learnt to put others before myself.

When you thought I wasn't looking
I saw you stand in the rain freezing cold at my soccer game
And I learnt to make sacrifices for others.

When you thought I wasn't looking
I heard you doing the dishes even when you felt sick
And I learnt that you have to be ready regardless of how you feel.

When you thought I wasn't looking
I heard you say to my Dad how well I did in soccer
And I knew you are proud of me every step of the way.

When you thought I wasn't looking
I saw you give money to a homeless woman
And I learnt random acts of kindness are nice.

When you thought I wasn't looking
I looked……
And I wanted to say thank you

For everything you’ve done for me when you thought I wasn't looking

  1. Hi Paige,

In your poem, I really liked how you said "When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you stand in the rain freezing cold at my soccer game and I learnt to make sacrifices for others". I really liked that bit because it reminded me of when my mum did that during my netball games.
    Great job paige!!
