What is Engineering?


Engineering is made by engineers which means they make engineering possible. Have you been on a airplane? Well, all parts of a plane you have satten on has been touched by engineers. There are engineers like Miners engineers, Mechatronics engineers, Mechanical engineers, Software engineers, Electrical engineers, Chemical engineers but their is more engineers. People like the romans are engineers. They were thinking about building a bridge to connect the two sides of the harbour. Yes, engineers designed and made the harbour bridge. So this is what engineering is. Its being a type of engineer and designing and making things.

The story is about Major Brown and her big feijoes from her backyard.


When did it happen?
The article was published at 3.32pm on Thursday, 12 of May, 2016 but the feijoes have been growing in her backyard for quite some time now.


Where did it happen?
In Gisborne.


What happened in the News Story?
Their was a quest to find the biggest feijoes in Gisborne and Hawke’s Bay. Their was a story where a woman who grew a feijoa that weighed 232 grams was the biggest so fair and Major Brown thought she could do better. Every year Major Brown’s feijoes grow even bigger.

St John Ambulance is an ambulance service that provides first aid care when you dial 111.

  1. They have emergency ambulance service throughout N.Z so when you dial 111 they get their as fat as they can.
  2. They try to help us get better as we travel to the hospital.
  3. They teach us first aid training so if we see someone in need we could help them

  1. ASB Bank is one of the main sponsers for St John ambulance and have been working together since 2008.
  2. It costs about 2,740 dollars to run one ambulance per day.
  3. St John is open every day. 24/7 365 days in a year.
  4. St John has had about 455,000 ambulance calls in the last year.
  5. St John ambulance is the biggest primary health care provider in New Zealand
