The Summer Learning Progamme
As the year is coming to an end we all are excited for the holidays. But some kids usually forget their knowledge and also get bored during the holidays. Here at school we have been learning to use our Blogs for the Summer Literacy Challenge. This will help me and other kids at my school improve much more in literacy. So keep checking my blog for some wonderful work!

Soccer Passion Project - Paige & Ferah
In the Senior hub of the school we have been creating some presentation about what we are most passionate about. I am very passionate about soccer and I paired up with Ferah who also has a passion for soccer. Ferah and I then thought our class the rules and positioning of soccer and we played a very fun game. I really enjoyed teaching everyone my passion and everyone participated in every part and they looked like they enjoyed it. I think I could have been a little more organized in everything but it was awesome. Please leave a Positive, Thoughtful, Helpful comment!!!

Mother's Day Poem
🌹💓Happy Mother’s Day!💓🌹
When you thought I wasn't looking
I saw you make my favorite dinner
And I knew little things from mum are special
When you thought I wasn't looking
I saw you wash my dirty soccer boots
And I knew you cared about me.
When you thought I wasn't looking
I heard you say that you would give the last cupcake to me
And I learnt to put others before myself.
When you thought I wasn't looking
I saw you stand in the rain freezing cold at my soccer game
And I learnt to make sacrifices for others.
When you thought I wasn't looking
I heard you doing the dishes even when you felt sick
And I learnt that you have to be ready regardless of how you feel.
When you thought I wasn't looking
I heard you say to my Dad how well I did in soccer
And I knew you are proud of me every step of the way.
When you thought I wasn't looking
I saw you give money to a homeless woman
And I learnt random acts of kindness are nice.
When you thought I wasn't looking
I looked……
And I wanted to say thank you
For everything you’ve done for me when you thought I wasn't looking

Camp Recount - Confidence Course
Camp Recount
Confidence Course
Have you ever felt like you're about to die but really you're just nervous? I definitely did doing the confidence course at camp. As I walked in I had no doubt in my mind that I would fail but those nerves got better.
At this time I had mixed emotions. I was scared as a mouse that had been chased by a cat. But I was also excited because everyone that had done the confidence course before me seemed to have a huge smile on their faces and it made some of my butterflies go away.
The time had come and it was my turn. Everyone was cheering for me saying “ Go Paige, You can do it”. Then, I pushed off the rope and landed onto the net. I was very happy because I was the first to make it onto the net. As my turn went on the course was very challenging. I started with level 1 but as soon as I got to the tyres I fall of. My feet were sinking into the mud and it was a disgusting feeling.
I wanted to then try a different level so I moved onto the level 2. It was very challenging but somehow I didn't fall in once and made it to the end. For me it seemed like I had accomplished something that was very hard and challenging and somehow it was easier then the red.
Walking back up to have a nice warm shower I knew in my mind I could accomplish anything if I work hard at put my mind to it. I had felt like I was in my own little bubble with a big smile on my face. Ready to take on the world.

Last week the senior side of the school attended camp. It was very fun and challenging. We had different activities like Go Carts, Confidence Course and lots more. We were told to write a recount about one of the challenging activities we had done at camp. I decided to write about the confidence course. The recount basically talks about the challenging parts of the confidence course. Please leave a Positive, Thoughtful and Helpful comment!!!

Community Presentation - RSAC
As part of our learning about community, we had to pick a community we belong to outside of school and share some information about it. The community I focused on was Roskill South Athletics club. I belong to this community and I am very proud of it. One thing I enjoyed working on is, learning more about this community and finding info about the history. One thing I could have done better was looking more into the records and who holds them. Overall I really enjoyed working on this. Please leave a Positive,Thoughtful,Helpful comment on this post.

An Ode to St Joseph
An Ode to Saint Joseph
O’dearest St Joseph
Eyes shine upon everyone like the sun in the sky
Your generous smile shines upon yourself
As your kindness inspires all
You were always joyful
The Father of Jesus
Worked as a Carpenter
He was Married to Mary the mother of Jesus
Born in 90 BC in Bethlehem
Died July 20, AD 18 at the age of 90
Was always loving and caring towards others
Did you like working as a carpenter?
Were you shocked to have a child?
Did you ever believe the son of God would be your son?
Did you have any regrets during life?
Was it hard to let Jesus go?
Your determination to get things done is inspirational
Thank you for being the person you were

Caritas Communities - Syria
We are learning about Caritas communities. In class we had to read the Caritas Lent information and choose one of the counties they talked about. We then had to research and write about that country and how Caritas helps them and why.
I really enjoyed making this slideshow and learnt a lot about Syria and how Caritas helps communities in need. I think I could improve by adding a little more information about war and the country. But overall it was AWESOME!!!!!
Please leave a positive, thoughtful and helpful comment!!!!!

My Lucky day
My Lucky Day
Going up to receive 1 certificate is awesome but going up to receive 4 awards is even better. This morning, I have received 3 awards plus a values voucher prize. I received 2 awards for my speech because I had made it into the speech finals and was able to say my speech in front of the school. Surprisingly, I had received an award from my teacher for a great speech and having the courage to say it in front of my school. Really, I had to go up again to receive my values prize hoping that would be my final time for the day to go up. Anyways, my prize was a book that I got to pick.
This really was my luckiest day EVER!.
